Are you looking for a nifty Halloween food idea for this week? Try making Mummy Dogs!! This is the second year I've done them and the kids love them! Just buy some Pillsbury breadstick dough, and wrap the hot dogs in the breadstick dough. Leave the top part of the hot dog exposed, and when you're done wrapping it up, pull some of it over the top to give the dog a little "pillow". Sprinkle with some season salt, garlic powder and Italian seasoning and bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes. They turn out looking like this:

Mummy Dogs

Sorry the photo's a bit crappy. Took it with my phone camera. They're really good and shamefully easy. The picture in the recipe book puts 2 little dots of mustard and 2 poppy seeds on them for eyes but my kids don't like that so I leave it off. Hope this is a helpful recipe for ya!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!

I have a 4 year old boy, and those mummy dogs look great. Something that I know he would eat.

Re: yummy

I've also done them with the little smokies hot dogs...you know, the tiny cocktail weenies. Those go over great too!
